FEED THE FUTURE ZIMBABWE FOSTERING AGRIBUSINESS FOR RESILIENT MARKETS (FARM)
FARM, which began on July 01, 2020 and will run through to June 30, 2025, is working to reduce rural poverty and improve household food security and resilience among smallholder producers in drought prone districts of Manicaland and Masvingo provinces through climate-smart increased production, productivity, and market linkages in both crop and livestock production. Working together with private sector partners, FARM is commercializing smallholder farmers through a market driven, value chain development approach that invests in viable business models that create wealth.
Another Option was the Social and Behavior Change technical advisor for USAID/Zimbabwe and Feed the Future’s Fostering Agribusiness for Resilient Markets (FARM) Activity in Zimbabwe and managed by Chemonics International.
We worked closely with the talented FARM communication team along with local artists, illustrators, and production company to develop a wide-range of outreach and communication materials that outline best practices in everything from pest control, artificial insemination, raising livestock, nutrition, WASH, and business skills and tools[DB1] .
The attractive materials were produced in English and Shona languages, were gender and youth focused, and lower literacy so they can be used and understood by non-Shona or non-English speakers.
Please feel free to use these materials and incorporate them in your activities. We just ask that you give credit to USAID/Zimbabwe, Feed the Future and the FARM Activity.

Who can remember instructions after you leave a training? Maybe some of the instructions but usually not all of it. That’s why outreach and communication materials are important tools for training and also for doing.
